Sunhauk Prescription Policy

At Sunhauk, we are committed to providing high-quality eyewear that meets exact medical standards. Because prescription sunglasses are regulated medical devices, we follow a strict verification process to ensure your vision and eye health are protected.

1. Valid Prescription Requirement

All orders for prescription lenses must be accompanied by a valid, unexpired prescription issued by a licensed eye care professional (Optometrist or Ophthalmologist).

  • Expiration: We cannot fulfill orders using expired prescriptions. If your prescription does not have an expiration date, we will follow the standard legal limit defined by your specific state or region (typically 1–2 years).

  • Completeness: Your prescription must include your Sphere (SPH), Cylinder (CYL), Axis, and a Pupillary Distance (PD).

2. Submission & Verification Process

To ensure 100% accuracy, we utilize a multi-step verification system:

  • Digital Upload: During checkout, you must upload a clear photo or PDF of your prescription via our Secure Provider Portal.

  • Initial Review: Our team checks the document for legibility and ensures all necessary doctor information (name, clinic, and contact details) is present.

  • Laboratory Certification: Before fabrication begins, the lab’s opticians perform a clinical review to ensure the lens parameters are viable for the frame selected.

3. Verification Holds

If our laboratory identifies a discrepancy, an expired date, or a missing Pupillary Distance (PD), your order will be placed on a Verification Hold.

  • We will contact you via email to request a corrected document.

  • Production time begins only after the prescription has been successfully verified.

4. Right to Cancel

Sunhauk LLC reserves the right to cancel any order if a valid prescription cannot be provided or verified. In the event of a cancellation due to an invalid prescription, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method.
